Rewind to 2014, I was quite possibly in the same position as you right now reading this. I was frustrated with my outfits, desperately wanting to achieve greater confidence and know-how with clothes, and tired of just throwing something on to feel ‘ok’, again.

It made me feel deflated and was always in the back of my mind, negatively impacting my day. I wanted to feel good in my clothes and ultimately about myself.

I used to scroll through Pinterest and Instagram searching for outfit inspiration and styles to help me decide what to wear, which yes sorted me out with a few looks here and there but on the whole just confused me more, because I just couldn’t work out the real reason why something looked good and something else didn’t.

I opted for the same safe staples time after time and never got to grips with mixing and matching my other items to create new looks that made me feel different and stylish.

Getting ready for work on a morning was also hard and my stress levels were up even before I got to the office. I just felt everything I picked lacked any real personality, style and spark, which ultimately impacted my confidence.

Those words were the last I muttered to myself before doing something about it!

I was determined I was not going to feel like that another season and waste even more money trying to find the items that worked for me! So I enrolled, studied and became a Qualified Personal Stylist.

I trained with the London College of Style and I was amazed at just how much science there was behind it; no wonder I was confused!

I learned the intricate details of dressing my body shape (and yours), and now I have so much more confidence, excitement and creativity when dressing, and I do so in a far more relaxed environment.

I now know how to create great style and an image my clients love, confidently mixing and matching pieces in their wardrobe to discover fabulous looks.

Styling isn’t about being all glitz and glam everyday if that’s not for you; (which it isn’t for me on a morning making pack lunches and doing the school run, I need it to be practical). It’s about expressing yourself through your clothes and feeling good in what you put on, because that image can massively impact how confident, positive and motivated you are that day.

Whether working from home or out at the office, if you like what you see in the mirror you feel much more motivated, positive and ready to take on the day.

Just like my clients who now are more positive, confident and loving their new image.

And the best thing is, that feel-good feeling causes a rippling effect of positivity in other areas of life.

Because when you look good, you feel great, and that triggers greater positivity and motivation within you to achieve amazing things.

You know the little dance you do inside when you get an outfit right and feel amazing? No? Well I didn’t get it that much before either; but now I do.

The great news is there’s a way out! And it’s not just baggy clothes to hide away.

As I said I’ve been there before but now I see the light. And so have the many other busy working Mums I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

But having a styling experience with Michelle, I knew it would be time well spent and would be a great starting point for me. I wish I had reached out sooner.
